Hope Theatre Company was set up in 2004 by Adam Zane. As an actor, Adam has appeared in the TV shows, Queer as Folk, Fat Friends, Prime Suspect, Emmerdale, New Street Law and Sorted, amongst others. His theatre work includes shows at the Royal Exchange Theatre, Theatre by the Lake and the Exchange Studio.
As a director, Adam has worked with Aspects Theatre Company on The Threepenny Opera, HushabyeMountain, The Women, A Women of No Importance and the devised plays, Guantanamo Bay – the Musical and Bullets and Shoes – an Iraqi Fairy Tale. In 2006, Adam directed the play Starcrossed for Physico Theatre Company at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Dick Longdin has been Production Designer for Hope Theatre Company since 2004. Dick’s set designs and publicity have been nominated for Salford Fringe Theatre Awards two years running. In 2006, Dick won the Best Set Design Award for Yesterday, when I was Young.
Mike Lee is due to graduate from the University of Salford in 2008. Mike has been working with Hope since December 2006 and specialises in visual multimedia. He has created work for Threepenny Opera, Yesterday, When I Was Young and Outloud. Through his independent production company, Insignia Media, he produced the DVD which accompanies the Outloud project.
Mark Creamer graduated from the University of Salford in 2005. Mark has designed the lighting and sound for all of Hope’s shows and has taken productions to The Lowry (Studio Theatre and Quays Theatre), Cornerstone Theatre (Liverpool), Studio Salford, Taurus and Bar Risa. |
