‘A shattering piece of work, designed to pierce the hardest of hearts’

In the Autumn of 1998, Matthew Shepard, a gay college student, was found beaten, tied to a fence and left to die on the outskirts of Laramie, Wyoming. Shortly after, members of Tectonic Theatre Project set out for Laramie to explore the town and the crime that occurred there.
After interviewing more that 200 residents, they created a deeply moving play about bigotry, fear, hate and hope.
2004 – HOPE Theatre Company produce the North-West Premiere of this acclaimed play as part of Manchester Pride. Production raises over £1500 for local gay charity, Operation Fundraiser.
