After a performance of The Laramie Project, Hope invited members of the Lesbian and Gay Foundation (LGF), teachers, health workers and Cllr. Paul Fairweather to discuss how to combat homophobia and hate crime in Manchester schools. The multi-agency initiative Exceeding Expectations was formed, funded by Manchester City Council.

The project is an unprecedented collaboration between Hope, the LGF, Manchester City Council Children’s services, Manchester Healthy Schools Partnership and other partners.

OUTLOUD tours twice a year throughout Manchester and is available for performances in other areas by arrangement.
